About Secondary Studies

Camden High School Library

A vibrant and welcoming learning space, students are invited to come in and use our resources for research and receive assistance from the Librarian and Learning and Support Teachers to complete their assessment tasks and homework.

STAR Class – Year 10

The STAR Class is a program for students in Year 10 who are looking to transition into the workplace. Students attend school 3 days per week studying the core subjects of Humanities (English and History) Mathematics, Science and PDHPE. Students study a range of TAFE pre-apprenticeship courses 1 day per week and engage in part time work or work experience on the remaining day per week.

LEAP – Year 8

All Year 8 students study STEM based, future focussed areas through the engaging LEAP program. They learn to code through the use of Minecraft, to use green screen technology to make their own movies and explore the technology of Virtual Reality by creating and moving through their own virtual environments.

Digital Literacy – Year 7

This program prepares all Year 7 students to use technology to complete their school work and interact responsibly and safely in the online world.

Learning and Support for years 7 -12

Students who require support with their literacy, numeracy and to assist them to access curriculum as a result of their additional learning or wellbeing needs are serviced by the Learning Support Teachers and our School Learning Support Officers. We collaborate closely with students, parents and their teachers to ensure that all students can experience success at school.
