Our School
Learning Spaces
We have outstanding facilities that allow engaging learning to take place every day. We have invested in ensuring that the physical spaces match our forward-thinking approach to education. This includes state-of-the-art hospitality kitchens, technology labs and creative and performing arts rooms, as well as extensive outdoor learning and recreation areas.
HSC Support
We are proud of our commitment to supporting senior students and their studies by providing them with a multi-functional learning space - The HSC Hub. This is supervised by an experienced HSC teacher who provides 1-on-1 assistance to help students achieve their personal best.
Wellbeing
We take the time to ensure that every student is known valued and cared for. Our extensive school Wellbeing Team comprises counselling, chaplaincy and youth-work staff, who all work together to develop the individual needs of all students. External agencies also provide a wide range of services to help create the citizens of tomorrow.
Learning Support
Our learning and support team plays a key role in ensuring we meet the specific needs of students with additional learning and support requirements, including disability. Our Library functions as a hub for students to engage with their individual learning, including offering an after-hours Teacher Assisted Study Centre.
Aboriginal Education
We are committed to closing the achievement gap for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. We celebrate, nurture and value the cultural identity of our Aboriginal students to help them be successful learners by offering a wide range of supportive programs, led by our Aboriginal Education Coordinator. Leadership
We produce the best young leaders in the region, by empowering them to find their voice and make a difference in their community. Our Student Leadership Council is led by a captaincy team who work collaboratively to support students with their schooling and create strong connections within the Camden community.
Partnerships
We forge strong partnerships with a range of service providers, including TAFE, My Gateway, MTC Australia and the Macarthur Trade Training Centre to give students knowledge, skills and experiences in their pursuit of post-school pathways. Our students leave school equipped with the tools to maximise their career and life choices.
Camden-Cowra Exchange
Camden's successful history with the Camden-Cowra Exchange has fueled both a friendly rivalry and a unique bond between the two school communities since 1971. The Exchange, which takes place over 3 days each year, involves students from both schools competing in a range of sports for the coveted Montgomery Shield.
Technology
Our commitment to engaging young minds with innovative tools and resources has never been stronger. Our purpose-built technology labs allow for students to access global knowledge, develop 21st Century skills and explore how technological advancements can contribute to society.
Creativity
At the core of all great achievement is a creative idea. Our school provides an environment where students can express their ideas, think outside the box, challenge problems with innovative solutions and produce high-quality artworks and performances, led by experienced and engaging teachers.
Agriculture
Our Agricultural department works with students to develop their knowledge and understanding about a range of agricultural practices. Through hands-on practical experiences, the students are provided with opportunities to rear farm animals and grow crops to showcase at community events such as the Camden Show.
Sport
We are proud of our sporting pedigree, with students representing at local, state and national levels in a range of sporting disciplines. Students at Camden High School have access to excellent facilities and expert teachers in the pursuit of sporting achievement.
